Pros

The managers are very supportive, and available to help. You can take unpaid time off whenever you need it.

Cons

The health insurance plan they offer is exorbitantly expensive to the point that they tell you in the onboarding to go look at the ACA marketplace instead. You are expected to take calls back to back with no follow up or wrap up time for leaving notes. You are required to take calls that will last 2-3 hours at times, and you are not allowed to limit the number of claims for the caller. This hurts your metrics and your soul. There are also an insane amount of calls where you have to transfer to some other department in the VA and you have to pray you transfer the vets to the right department so they aren’t playing phone tag. You also get a lot of calls that are irrelevant to your job, because other departments at the VA tell people to call us as a catch-all if they aren’t sure where to transfer someone.
