Pros

I've been with Signifyd for a little under a year and couldn't be happier that I made the move to this company. I came from a completely different industry/function and both my manager and overall team have been incredibly supportive. I've learned and grown a lot in a short amount of time and it's all thanks to the opportunities and exposure given. It's been rewarding to work alongside a group of smart, focused individuals. The company has built an amazing people-focused culture. Although we're a remote company, the kindness and genuine care folks have for each other shines through (more than I've ever experienced at past on-site organizations). Of course, the 4-day workweek and unlimited PTO are awesome perks. It's only possible because people are willing to make it work for the sake of everyone's work/life balance, while still maintaining focus on what needs to be done. The culture starts from the very top. Leadership is humble, approachable, and transparent. Excited to be part of Signifyd and looking forward to what's in store!

We are consistently evolving and this is always an area of challenge, particularly for workstreams that don't have a clear end-to-end owner, but we hope that you will see improvements in the coming quarters. As far as team members not carrying their weight, we do encourage you to talk to your manager and/or HR privately if you have concerns, as they may not be aware of the problem, or may be able to highlight other contributions that the team members are making behind the scenes that aren't visible to you.

Pros

Signifyd is in a sweet spot right now that is hard to find – still very much in start up mode in that employees are given a lot of trust, creative runway, and autonomy – while also having a lot of the comforts of a successful and well run larger org.. ie great work / life balance (4 day work week that is really truly a 4 day work week), great culture that cares about their employees holistically, smart and passionate coworkers. Because of this, I have grown so much over the last two years and accelerated my professional development in a way that I'm not sure would be possible at another company.

Cons

While there are offices in each of the hubs, the company does feel very remote-first. As someone who likes the balance of hybrid work - some days in office, some days at home - it is hard to find motivation for in-office days when the office has such low in-person attendance. That being said, individuals teams have made efforts to do more in-person events / onsites and they often make strides to include other teams for work lunches and cross-collaboration office days when they do so.

Thank you SO much for this review! To hear your comments about the opportunities we have here and our culture is extremely validating. We hear you on the challenges of being remote-first. All of our offices are open to anyone that would like to use them, but you're right, it's hard to get people to be motivated to come in. We are hoping that some additional things we are doing will incentivize more in-office attendance so you can get the unique experience of bonding with your coworkers in person more often!
