Pros

Opportunities to talk with Holocaust survivors and civil rights leaders who visit.

Cons

Absolutely horrible. Pays employees less than Wal-Mart, does not treat them well at all and yet expects "professional" level commitment and expertise. No sick days or paid time off for part-time staff, but the management takes trips to Europe. Very poor management.

Do not work for the NY office. It is very badly managed and there are no growth opportunities.

Pros

The volunteer docents are wonderful

Cons

Everything, but especially the management. They don't care about their jobs, mission, or employees. Only care about looking good in politics and getting money. Are currently involved in a Fed Investigation. Blamed lower level employees for their mistakes, took credit for things they didn't do to look good. Made lower level employees and unpaid interns do all work while they were on phone with politicians for things unrelated to SWC or MOT. Extremely toxic work environment, most extreme issues being stalking and sexual harassment.
