      Pros

      If you're anything but upper management, you'll have many employees to commiserate with about SBG's philosophies. It's SO difficult to get fired, SBG would rather grind you down until you want to quit. So you can get away with a lot.

      Cons

      This is a VERY right wing company. Pay scales are always below average. Get any benefit promised to you in writing. 1 1/2% yearly COL increase with a bonus based on achieving expected sales goals (those goals can be changed during the actual quarters expected). The Peter Principle is in full effect at SBG.

      At the station level, there are some great people! It's a paycheck

      Cons

      Corporate Management Micro management Nepotism & favoritism Corporate is ultra cheap. Many stations have VERY antiquated systems and equipment that they refuse to upgrade Corporate say the have wonderful people but in reality corporate treats station's employees poorly. They are paranoid and refuse to let decisions get made at local levels. Management is all about who you know and has nothing to do with what you know! Many political games played on the corporate level and upper management at station level. They grew too big too fast Make this company your LAST option!! Way too top heavy with managers at station level. Too many more to list

      Some of the low level workers are great.

      Cons

      New CIO only looking for"Yes men". IT department and rest of company not on same page. CIO is all talk and no action, except to fire good people so he can bring in his own.
