Pros

Cons

no job security company can fire you without any warning. Worst company I ever work for. I have been working since I was 18yrs and have never had anything like this happen to.

We appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns about the training program. Training is hard work and takes a lot of dedication if you hope to become a Branch Manager within a years’ time. With that said, our training team is very accommodating with all of our trainees and are dedicated to coaching and investing in those that show enthusiasm for Sixt. Of course those that show they are motivated and are eager to learn will advance regardless of whether or not they need extra coaching. We are proud to say that our retention rate for the International Management Trainee program is well over 80% due to our customized training program.

Thank you for writing a review for Sixt. We are happy to hear that you enjoy the autonomy and control that the Regional Sales Performance Manager position provides. To address your concerns, bonus schemes are implemented to benefit the employee and are changed to make improvements that will challenge and reward our sales team. If you have further concerns, we encourage you to contact your local UK Human Resource department.

Pros

International company, great experiences with the branches in the EU. Enjoyed my experience with my last branch so much better with having a healthy age/gender diversity and way more of an organized and willing manager/team. Opportunity, so it seems at least in the beginning. A business trip to FL if you're not a local.

Cons

Unfortunately I was served the McDonald's version of joining this company since my branch was very unwelcoming which later was confirmed to me by someone else having had worked there. Unprofessional behavior, chaotic, unorganized, highschool environment including cursing is what I had to listen to. Badmouthing was a routine. No age diversity, low salary and generally a branch with insecure employees too busy whining and gossiping all day instead of working towards becoming a team.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review for Sixt rent a car. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the branch environment you were reassigned to. However, we do apologize that your initial branch was not as positive of an experience. Our executive team has regular regional and branch manager meetings as well as ongoing training to promote positivity, consistency, and professionalism across all branches. Likewise, all new hires have a mandatory orientation and several also have a mandatory one week training at our headquarters. This allows employees to become familiar with our HR and training teams and learn about our standards and procedures. With that said, all branch employees should have a thorough understanding of how to conduct themselves in a professional manner and if any discrepancies should arise, every new hire is encouraged to contact a member of the HR team. Due to your unsatisfying experience at your first branch, we would encourage you to reach out to our VP of HR, Gaddy Fernandez. Unwelcoming behavior is not promoted and of course we would investigate to rectify this. In regards to your concerns about managerial training, all managers experience a wide range of markets for several months to a year (depending on experience level) to provide them with the knowledge to overcome obstacles and successfully manage a team. Additionally our managers either have a Bachelor’s Degree or prior managerial and leadership experience and training. We hone in on personality traits and behavior to select our managers and only a select few make it through out rigorous interview process. Our recruiting team ensures that we are selecting managers that match our superior standards of professionalism and quality service and also selecting those that can manage a team that will embody these traits. Mangers in training must constantly show a passion for the business, show enthusiasm that matches our standards, and of course, pass their assessment to successfully manage their own branch. Also we do have a competitive compensation package. Comparing us to other companies, our employees are compensated very well. Finally, as you yourself recognized, Sixt prides itself on being a very diverse organization when it comes to age and gender. In addition, Sixt’s Branch Managers not only come from the United States but all over the world.
