Pros

Lower level staff are friendly and form family like bonds to shelter and give shoulders to each other for all the abuse from management.

Cons

NO RAISES OR BONUSES (even if promised, don't kid yourself) SUB PAR SALARIES (once you look around at the job market you will soon notice that in your role you could be making 30-40% more at a real company) NO CAREER GROWTH (they do not promote from within. If you do get "promoted" it will be a lateral move with no pay increase) HORRIBLE BENEFITS NO 401K MATCHING (CEO claims that it is in the works, do not count on it) CLOCKING IN & OUT (lower level employees are forced to clock in and out even for lunch breaks, management constatnyl monitoring your hours and punches) PETTY RULES & POLICIES (no headphones at your cubicle, no mugs or open containers at your desk, no cell phones out unless you are executive level or higher, employees in offices can not have their blinds raised, the list goes on and on and keeps growing) HALF CUBICLES (no real privacy, the office structure is so that superiors can constantly monitor you) HORRIBLE PTO (no sick days, you only get 10 holidays and 14 PTO days which your sick days are also pulled from. You only gain additional PTO days after being there for 3 years!! They also no longer let you take unpaid PTO days and goodluck taking off during the holiday season.) HORRID CEO (it is a dictatorship. the CEO is constantly feared by all staff. Executives, Presidents, and Vice Presidents will throw any and all employees under the bus to save themselves.)

Pros

Few areas of Company have team players and are willing to go out of their way to help employees - IT, Travel, Facilities and HR.

Cons

Cons really out weigh all the pros. Most unethical work place and it starts at the top. Unless you are willing to work like a robot or machine, and not wanting to have quality of life then this is the place for. People are not leaving because they cannot keep up with the fast paced environment or growth. They are leaving because management is two-faced and rolls everyone under the bus rather than taking accountability for their own opportunities, errors, lack of training. New hires are thrown into the position without training or coaching and expect to know what they are supposed to be working on. Then there is LACK OF COMMUNICATION - I can keep on going but this Company is not worth the time. I would just say think twice before accepting the position you will end up regretting it!! Few good reviews you have read are put in by the upper management so don't be fooled!! They have been asking all employees to go online and put positive reviews - what a joke!!!

Challenge: Guess how many reviews are written by an executive

Pros

"This type of company is not for everyone and the opportunities are limitless." Really!? Limitless - only if you are fine with "opportunities" to take on more work, more stress for little to no compensation and absolutly NO gratitude. The more work load is because this company can not keep employees so everyone else has to do the job of 2 or 3 employees. "There are several negative reviews about HIIG but all from employees who couldn't keep up with the pace and didn't make the cut." If you call "couldn't keep up with the pace and didn't make the cut" actually leaving HIIG for much better pay (30%+) plus significant bonuses and better working environment, then I'll take that as a compliment. "If you like to be challenged, then HIIG is the place for you." The only challenge here is staying out of the way of the CEO & his minions. These people are ruthless and will throw you under the bus quick. Don't think for a second your boss will go to bat for you when you are not to blame for a situation. "If you like to work at a job doing the same thing over and over, then don't fool yourself and think you could work at HIIG" Whatever! Don't fool yourself, this is not a great place to work. There is no appreciation for the countless hours put in and life events missed to be loyal to a company that will treat you with no respect. The executives make BANK! The people that actually do the work don't. I have heard HIIG described best this way: Once you leave HIIG you are like a beat down dog. You are scared to do anything, because you will likely get in trouble. At my new job, we can drink coffee without a lid (gasp!). The executives actually get their own coffee. The office is quite because eveyone is working and not scared to speak. When the CEO walks by, no one looks away or feels like they are being mentally undressed. You can go to the restroom without someone wondering how long you have been away from your desk.

Cons

No need to elaborate but I have to write twenty words for this to publish. Save your sanity, don't work here.
