      Pros

      I joined the company in the fall of 2009 after spending almost 10 years with a very good firm. My expecations have been surpassed and am very happy that I made the change. - Great culture - Strong management team - Extremely talented collegues - Team environment

      Cons

      Still an evolving and maturing organization, which at times can pose challenges. However, it is also a lot of fun being able to contribute to the firm as we strive to continually improve.

      Lost sight of the customer

      Pros

      Slalom is a great place to get started in consulting. The consultants are good people and some of the management folks really do care about the consultants.

      Cons

      Does not have an option for consulting as a 1099. The management team is always saying to come forward with a good idea that is well founded and we will support your efforts to building a case for a new practice or a new initiative. But what they say and what they do are two completely different things.

      Pros

      Very entrepreneurial. If you have ideas you want to pursue, don't be surprised if you are asked to personally carry them out. No travel. Proffesional overtime. Hard working yet casual culture. Great events for consultants to get to know one another. Not a huge firm, so lots of opportunity for growth.

      Cons

      Paid vacation time accrues slower than what you might be used to in a larger firm, but not the worst I've seen. Career path not prescribed, which bothers some people.
