      Good place to learn about various industries through client work

      Cons

      Very political. Difficult to get promoted without knowing the right people. May get sidelined and have others take credit for your work depending on their status. Lots of people leaving due to tough market for consulting.

      I can’t really think of any. I used to drink the Koolaid but then leadership showed me their true colors.

      Cons

      Slalom is full of corporate toxicity. They use the ‘We’re a family’ line to get you to want to invest your extra time and energy into your work. Don’t let them know you have an extracurricular hobby or pastime, they will try to exploit it. Culture is a facade to power hungry leaders who view the people they are supposed to lead as stepping stones to their own personal success. They pay below market rate and your growth is limited. Get ready for pizza parties to celebrate big wins and quarterly parties. I had to ask for my annual 3% increase on pay. I would look elsewhere for work if I were you.
