      Professional Services is in a very difficult paradigm shift right now

      Pros

      I've enjoyed working at Slalom in general. Recently things have gotten a lot more difficult because of market performance. But when the projects are going through the pipeline it offers a way for someone to lead while still remaining technical.

      Cons

      Every day starts with a little panic attack of wondering if I'll be laid off or let go without severance. Most SP+ have taken a serious pay cut in recent years because of the shifting lack of demand in the industry and the pervasive entitlement of those who want to work at a people company without showing up in person.

      Pros

      Loved the people that worked at Slalom and the enthusiasm as well as leadership.

      Cons

      With recent economic crunches, leaders are getting pressured in uncomfortable ways. Sales or account teams are not useful which creates pressures and layoffs for non-leaders.
