Pros
I think the company is well presented in recruiting. The biggest sales pitch is about the people at Slalom. The people are indeed great. There is probably a solution to the problem you have, and if there isn’t you can probably find a handful of folks to help you solve it. Work life balance is great and there has been significant work on career development framework recently to make it more comparable to competitors. Huge improvements on benefits recently happened. I pay very little for a family package.
Cons
The business model of local markets can and has created some silos, but there are global teams attempting to break the silos down. Compensation can be lower than competitors. I have seen colleagues move to competitors and say, Slalom people will probably be more enjoyable to work with but the offer I received was to great to turn down.
