Pros

- studio leadership is great, you felt like they genuinely cared for their staff - the people make the studio, lovely people to work with and smart - challenging but rewarding work - good support for flexibility - a fun culture with plenty of events and employee rewards during milestones - solid compensation package for Australia - great support for internal mobility and DEI

Cons

- while stable for many years, the Microsoft acquisition gutted a number of people from the team - at times felt like an us vs. them culture with the other studios and parent company Activision / Microsoft - frequent expectation for overtime, burn-out prevalence. sometimes the wheels just don't stop, you ship a game then straight into live-service - future planning could be better - US studio favoritism
