Pros

Great location in downtown Portland. Friendly people who genuinely want the company to succeed. Pay is improving but there is still room to get better. Excellent benefits. The products offered are recession proof. Employees know how to have fun at work, but still maintain focus. Recent investments in new infrastructure are paying dividends to employees in technical fields.

Cons

Still working through some pain caused by poor choices of previous management, but focus is in the right places to correct. Still some salary adjustments needed for longer term employees to make pay fair compared to newer hires. Many employees work like it is a startup, but it is an enterprise company that requires enterprise discipline. Current management is working hard to steer that in the right direction.

Pros

Gender equality pay structure, Executive Transparency, Under the leadership of the current CEO, the company has a clear path of where it is going and he truly lives the core value of People First!

Cons

Going through the merger with Actiance had it's up/downs but I believe Smarsh is a stronger company because of it

Pros

Friendly people who are all working hard to improve the company and their work Good HR policies regarding vacation and benefits Transparency in financials

Cons

I was there during a leadership shakeup but it was clear that the shakeup had not yet addressed the lack of direction in the company at all level and lack of communication between areas of the company. New technical senior leadership seems to be focused on getting somebody to blame instead of solving the communication and direction issues.
