Pros

Smarsh is small enough that everyone including COO / CEO are approachable, yet big enough to have the top shelf clients!! From the first interview, I have been impressed with the way they operate. I am a big believer in the why's and this is a place that explains the why's. I left a huge company to come here.. and so glad I did. I know everyday here-- what I do and the great people I work with, impact the business we do and customers we serve !!

Cons

Only cons are the ones typical of a young and growing company-- growing pains. Processes that are very manual-- that work as a small company, don't work when you become a real player in the market. The cons are known, and fixes are in the plans.

Pros

You will certainly learn at Smarsh while trying to keep pace with the speed of its success. A friendly and accepting group of people that work very hard. This is not a place to sit idle and collect a paycheck. If you like challenges this is the place. Hard work is rewarded here.

Cons

Scalability has been painful and too much time is spent on manual processes that could be automated. It would be easy to get overwhelmed at Smarsh, especially if you are not competitive and driven.

Pros

Company is growing fast and there is no shortage of work. You will never find yourself wishing you had something to do. Smarsh does well at including the families of employees involved in many activities throughout the year. Company is very supportive of employees with medical or families in crisis. Even ex employees have been cared for in the past.

Cons

Benefit split, especially for families, takes a chunk out of your pay check. Corporate ladder climbing is quite limited. Don't expect a promotion, unless you were already the friend of a vp when you were hired.
