Pros

As a store manager, you have a lot of discretion on how to manage the store. Good pay. Solid bonuses. There is a lot of good support from district managers and corporate. Solid benefits.

Cons

Very long hours. Tightly controlled labor. At times loss prevention is more focused on "getting you" than assisting you. Did I mention the long hours...To be expected, but sometimes becomes too much...

Pros

You get various training in deli, produce, bakery and cash register training as well as power jack and forklift certification.

Cons

With all this experience you have, expect to work in all of these areas of the store most like at once while having carry along to rest of the store on your back. They understaff all the departments then use them for the register instead of leaving them in their departments so usually nothing gets done in the departments.
