      Pros

      One of the best parts of working here is the people: the team is full of smart, driven folks who are also kind, supportive, and genuinely collaborative. There’s a strong sense of shared ownership and mutual respect across teams, and even in a fast-paced environment, people are generous with their time and always willing to help each other out. Leadership sets ambitious goals, but also gives you the autonomy to make things happen. There’s a strong performance culture, but it’s paired with transparency and open communication, which makes for a high-trust workplace. You learn a lot — fast — and feel like your work actually matters.

      Cons

      Goals can shift quickly based on business needs or external factors, which can be challenging if you're not used to that kind of agility. That said, expectations are communicated clearly, and there’s a strong sense of fairness and transparency around how decisions are made. It’s a fast-moving environment, but one where people are genuinely supported and set up to succeed.

      Pros

      - Empowering environment - employees are given opportunities to succeed and grow if they are strong culture carriers and contributors - Driven and intelligent colleagues who bring a wealth of experience and ideas to the table - Industry-leading product but still adaptable and nimble to meet the changing desires of consumers and continue delivering a strong product-market fit - Trusting environment - if you prove yourself to be reliable, hard-working and accountable, you are given autonomy to run with ideas and tasks - Rewarding - provided you have the right attitude and an "owner's mentality", many opportunities exist to have a thriving and growing career at SmartAsset.

      Cons

      - As a 100% remote company, it is always difficult to create "organic" interpersonal interactions. The company is proactive and creative in trying to foster a culture of "togetherness" despite employees being spread out nationally but this will always be a challenge - Things move very quickly - it is not uncommon to work on a project for some period of time and then quickly pivot to a new project or idea. This is not unique to SmartAsset and is expected for a company of its size and maturity. You need to be willing and able to pivot and adapt.

      SmartAsset is a great place to work. It’s the first high-growth tech company I’ve been at where I’ve found a strong balance of challenge, support, and creative thinking. - Truly collaborative culture—people are generous with their time, ideas, and feedback - Smart, capable teammates who genuinely care about doing great work - Strong, market leading product with a clear mission and real value - Fully remote, but leadership does a great job keeping everyone connected and aligned - I genuinely enjoy the people I work with and can see myself here long-term

      Cons

      - Some teams are still building out processes, which can mean ambiguity at times - Being fully remote requires proactive communication to stay synced across teams
