Pros

There’s a ton of opportunity here if you’re proactive. You’re encouraged to test new ideas, take ownership, and move fast. The team is incredibly sharp, kind, and truly invested in doing great work. It’s an environment where curiosity and initiative are genuinely valued.

Cons

Like a lot of growing companies, we’re still working to break down silos and create more cross-functional alignment. Everyone’s juggling a lot, so things can move quickly—but the desire for collaboration is definitely there and improving.

Pros

SmartAsset is a growing company with great upcoming opportunity. Employees all have a similar mindset and we are all working towards similar goals. I joined SmartAsset after finding myself in massive covid layoffs. I came into it as just another job and now I find myself looking at it as a career. One of the amazing things about working for SmartAsset and remote work is the autonomy and the trust they put on you. Because of this environment you learn a lot about yourself and what you want as a professional. This environment has helped me drastically grow and a professional and individual. As an account manager, I am essentially a business owner which brings me a lot of pride in helping my clients become successful. If you are someone looking for a very rewarding job both financially and professionally SmartAsset is the right place for you.

Cons

In a growing company like SmartAsset comes a lot of change and innovation. The biggest challenge is being able to roll with these changes. To work here you need to be someone who is self motivated, the autonomy is not a great fit for all people.

Solid Foundations, But Success Is Self-Made

Pros

-Strong Financials: well-managed financially. Unlike most pre-IPO startups, the company is profitable and offers real stability. -True Remote Flexibility: Being fully remote is a massive perk. It genuinely offers the flexibility you need to balance your life, no micromanagement about where or when you're working, as long as the work gets done. -Strong, Sticky Culture (Mostly): Outside of the usual churn in sales roles, people here really like their jobs and their colleagues. Employees are invested in the mission.

Cons

-Sink or Swim Environment: This isn't a place where you can coast. Success here is entirely dependent on your individual drive, performance, and a seriously strong work ethic. If you're not self-motivated and don't take initiative, you'll struggle. -Leadership Needs More Alignment: There could be better, clearer alignment on decision-making authority, particularly for Directors and VPs. -Room to Invest in Employee Development: While flexible, there's not much investment in in-person events to foster connection, nor are there many opportunities for external conferences or advanced professional training. Growth is largely self-driven.
