      Quickly growing company with great people

      Pros

      The company is growing very quickly and is becoming a major player in the fintech space. The company cares a lot about helping its people succeed and there is a good culture of accountability. Also, there is definitely still a startup culture which helps promote a fun work environment! There were exciting intern events like going to a baseball game as well as company-wide ones.

      Cons

      While there is a startup culture, I think that the specific values of the culture can sometimes be hard to pinpoint. However, it seems that the company is actively working on improving this!

      Pros

      SmartAsset has a lot of intelligent people who heavily value the work they do each day. Everyone is a friendly and helpful. We have Monday morning meetings where every team lead speaks and lets you know what their team is working on which is helpful for transparency. There’s a lot of growth in the company and we have a lot of potential which makes it exciting. The company is always looking to improve and just implemented a 401K match. We also have a lot to get employees involved including internal competitions, volunteer opportunities, sports leagues, book club and Friday tastings.

      Cons

      Fast growth leads to a lot of change. As the company grows rapidly, things come up but that’s in every young company.

      Pros

      Great opportunity to work with smart, driven coworkers who are collaborative and fun. The Company is always striving to improve how we do things whether it pertains to our clients or employees. We have rolled out many cultural initiatives in the last 6 months that I really enjoyed being a part of (community service, mentoring program for HS students, regular sports activities and more employee recognition). Really excited that we now have a 401(k) match that is fully vested!

      Cons

      This isn't really a con, but more an opportunity/ area of development: the Company has almost doubled in size since I have joined. Keep working on developing infrastructure/processes to keep pace with growth.
