lots of walk in clientele, can be flexible with enough planning... clean training garunteed pay pretty good tips

Cons

when I worked there to make commission I had to make the company over 18/hr to get a 40% commision, who do you think does the cleaning? some of the clients (it is a walmart) being sent home everytime it is slow (several hours sometimes)

-Stylists are paid hourly or commission so paycheck is guaranteed - 401k -Medical and dental insurance -prizes

Cons

-commission scale has changed from 40%-50% service commission to 38%-48% service commission and retail has gone from 10% to 5% retail commission. The difference is bigger than it seems. - Pay for meetings is not always paid out and you have to watch your paychecks carefully to insure that you are being paid correctly. -Salon managers are not paid salary they are paid commission but are still expected to handle salon issues off the clock. the commission rate is between 48%-50%.
