Pros

It's like working for a cause because of the project's direct impact to society. If you want to polish your project management skills, this is definitely the company. Open to professional growth through internal and external training. Good compensation.

Cons

Would need to mature in decision making and follow through. High ambition is a good thing if balanced with reality. Lessons are learned the hard way and at the expense of some good employees. Entitlement mentality is common among the management team.

Pros

Smartmatic still has a start up nature which offers great job diversity along with great colleagues within an exciting work field. They are fully aware they have expanded globally in an incredible pace and there is need to align the different regions further.

Cons

Different business functions do not always work well together, I detect some ignorance when they are chasing new projects which results in poor planning, continuously changing needs, reckless behavior which requests a lot from the employees involved. People management is far below average company wide, little attention to employee benefits, career development and proper performance review cycles.
