The autoglass industry in New Zealand is busy in summer and quiet in winter. This company will therefore have a high turnover of staff. Expect to be coerced into long hours during summer and expect to be bombarded with an unreasonable amount of jobs to complete on any given day. They tend to hire people on temporary work visas from poor countries and treat them poorly then let them go after summer. You will always see jobs advertised for smith and smith for this reason. Management tend to be ex fitters who have been there the longest. They have no problem throwing you under the bus. Go higher up and they’re even less human. High paid suits who only care about pleasing the insurance companies and hitting KPIs. They use health and safety and strict rules to get rid of anyone at any given moment.
