Pros

Upbeat group with an extremely unique product offering. While they have been around for many years, the TV search technology is relatively new. Lots of great interaction with big name entertainment organizations.

Cons

Cost for adoption in public sector organizations is a pretty big hurdle. Additionally, sales expectations were a bit out of touch compared to the market adoption rate.

Pros

Want to work in an environment where you can turn on the TV and see some of the world's most watched shows using your product? If so, this is the right job for you! The SnapStream product is incredible and a pleasure to show to customers. For such a small company (around 25 people), SnapStream has made a HUGE impact on how organizations work with television content on both the production and marketing sides of their shows. The SnapStream office is in a great area, right near The Heights and there are a lot of benefits of working for the company. SnapStream has repeatedly been named a "Best Place to Work" in Houston. This is because of the relaxed work environment and very supportive staff. Some of the highlights: - An always stocked kitchen means you don't have to worry about breakfasts or lunches during the workweek. - Weekly catered TGIF meetings where you can share beers and stories with your co-workers. - Potential for merit based financial awards for good work. - Great insurance coverage - Wall full of classic video game systems and games for when you need to show off your Duck Hunt skills. Counter-Strike runs amazingly well on our local network! - Monthly "Fun-Fund" events; bowling, brewery tours, Nerf gun office wars (yes, we have a wall of Nerf guns...), etc. SnapStream is a work-hard play-hard atmosphere. The work isn't always easy but working for SnapStream is great. The work is rewarding and the people who work at SnapStream want you to succeed.

Cons

Not a con but make certain you are ready to work. Management expects a lot from you but they give you the tools and support to succeed. This is not a job for someone who isn't self-motivated.

Pros

SnapStream is a small tech company (~25 people) with a great product. Ever watch The Daily Show with John Stewart before he retired? Sure you did. Guess what? The SnapStream Business DVR is how their production team searched television to find those funny Fox News clips. Once Trevor Noah takes over, it'll be SnapStream delivering the goods once again. If you want direct interaction with the CEO and to work with a product that's very relevant (Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Huffington Post, White House, NBC, CBS are all customers), SnapStream is the place for you. It also integrates with Social Media, so if you're a believer in the "Second Screen" you'll love what SnapStream does.

Cons

It's a small company where strategy and entrepreneurial ability are recognized. So if you're looking to climb the latter at a large organization this isn't the place for you. Not saying it's a bad thing to want to climb, just saying SnapStream is a company where that won't happen.
