Subpar compensation, no WLB, incompetent management

Pros

Office is clean and sound-proofing

Cons

Management- Manager likes to micromanage and often gives bias assessments (that're often wrong) on direct reports' performance. They only care about their own deliverables and not so much about about direct reports' career development. There's also limited growth opportunities unless you're willing to put in crazy hours and work over weekends, which means there's not really WLB.

No work life balance

They offer decent pay, people, benefits

Cons

The higher ups expected us to work over 50 hours a week as salary employees. The on call rotation was 3 weeks on call making it difficult to have a life outside of work.

While we are glad you enjoyed the people and benefits and felt your compensation was adequate, we are disappointed to hear you didn't experience a good work-life balance, as we strive to provide an environment that supports this. We are continually working to improve our processes and provide resources to help employees manage their work effectively and efficiently. As you know, one of our core values at SoFi is "Take Care of People and Help Them Grow," so we appreciate you sharing that you would have preferred a different on-call rotation.
