Pros

Pay and Benefits are are among the industry best.

Cons

I left because they took away the Monday Through Friday Schedule. Hours were unusual.bmanagement always needed lots of overtime and they made you feel obligated to work it. There was not enough desk to hire more people. QA was not looking to help employees learn, but how they could help you fail.

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback with us. We're glad you found SoFi's compensation and benefits to be competitive, and are sorry to hear that recent scheduling shifts ended up not working for you. As we have transitioned a vast majority of our workforce to a remote environment, and in order to handle increased requests for member support, we have had to make scheduling changes to remain agile and respond to volume accordingly. We've done everything we can to work with our valued team members, but understand that these changes won't work for everyone. Finally, QA is a critical function at SoFi in ensuring members are met with quality conversations and the right support. If you feel inclined to provide more specific details about your experience, please send them to glassdoor@sofi.org.

Because its still a startup (in a sense), it is very fast paced - information changes rapidly and not always pushed down.

We appreciate the feedback! We're glad to have you as part of the SoFi family and to hear that your time with us has been positive so far. We're thrilled to hear you've been able to grow professionally with us in your first year at SoFi, and we'll soon provide even more opportunities to do so. The SoFi People Team is soon launching an internal mobility program designed to develop Ops employees into professional roles in other parts of the company. We're also developing a six-month robust rotational program within Ops to launch in Q4. We're also launching a company-wide mentorship program focused on underrepresented minorities and early career seekers. Finally, we are in the process of developing and rolling out internal communications best practices across the business to help improve company-wide communication, with an emphasis on information sharing to front-line employees. Professional development and communication remain key priorities for us. We hope you'll soon start to see the positive results from our efforts in these areas!

Pros

SoFi is the next trillion dollar valuation company in the making. They follow the banking business model, but aspire to be a true tech company. The mission to help members get their money right truly echos in most product decisions and it shows in the overall attitude taken towards solutions they create. Of course just like any startup they have growing pains. But leadership welcomes the solving of these arising issues. They encourage you to step up and own it. If you want to define the future of finance, SoFi is the place to be.

Cons

A lot of executives and leadership sometimes feel like they don't know what they are talking about. At least from software development perspective, execution is amateur at best. Handful folks in influential positions are eloquent and pushy, but doesn't back it up with true principle-based delivery. There are teams though that give a lot of hope for the rest of the company.
