Pros

* People who work at SoFi truly believe in and work to further the mission of helping our members reach their financial goals. *While the salaries offered are much lower than I was able to receive elsewhere, the benefits package is extremely competitive (paid lunch, fully covered health insurance, unlimited vacation, $200/month towards student loans, etc) *I experienced one of the best managers of my life at SoFi who continues to be a mentor of mine. *Overall, my experience at SoFi was immensely positive. The skills I learned and the ownership I felt over my projects will always be invaluable to me.

Cons

*The marketing organization grew increasingly political during my tenure, where some people focused on optics versus results. *The company has a nearly non-existent parental leave policy--basically, the legal minimum. What kind of a message does that send to women and people with families? *Each office has an incredibly different culture from one another. Despite the somewhat recently implemented company-wide initiatives, each office still feels like its own company.

We love hearing about your great experience with us and learning that your managers truly made a difference to your professional life during your tenure here. Thanks to your suggestion regarding parental leave. As part of our efforts to further embrace diversity, we are in the process of re-evaluating all of our benefits offerings – a compelling parental leave policy is one of the exciting offers we’re working to put in place. Amazing things are happening at SoFi, and we can’t be more thrilled!
