Pros

Mission-Driven Culture: SoFi’s commitment to helping members achieve financial independence isn’t just branding—it drives real decision-making across the business. High Visibility Projects: From supporting bank charter initiatives to driving risk transformation programs, I’ve had the opportunity to work on initiatives with enterprise impact. Collaborative Teams: Cross-functional collaboration between Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations is a hallmark of how work gets done—especially in Independent Risk Management. Leadership Access: Even as a program manager, I had regular interaction with senior leaders. Growth Opportunities: Internal mobility is taken seriously—I’m proof that you can evolve your role to match your interests and strengths. Execution-Focused: SoFi encourages bias toward action and operational excellence in a way that rewards clarity, ownership, and follow-through.

Cons

Pace of Change: Like many high-growth companies, priorities shift quickly, which can create ambiguity in role definitions or initiative ownership. Lean Teams: Resource constraints often mean you're wearing multiple hats—great for learning, but challenging for long-term sustainability.
