What was once a crown jewel of FinTech has become a dreary, political mess on a warpath towards an IPO. Innovation has taken a backseat and SoFi has become largely indistinguishable from any other online lender. There’s a lot of Fin, but there’s not too much Tech. Noto & Friends have pushed out all of the talent that remained from the Cagney days and a lack of organizational knowledge is crippling the Product & Eng orgs. A chaotic BUL structure and C level sycophants round out the top heavy organization. Curious decisions like the massive “SoFi Stadium” naming rights deal fuel executive ego and burn cash at an alarming rate

Very top heavy with managers of managers of managers etc. Transitioning from startup to solid business is not going well for engineers due to overloaded management and too little investment in engineers. Company is more likely to hire someone to fill a higher position than to promote someone already here; promotions are VERY political. Company doesn't seem very interested in expanding the Helena office anymore.
