Unfortunately I couldn’t stay there for too long because of a personal situation. But SoFi is possibly the best company I have worked for in my entire 15+ year professional career.
What’s to like:
- Rockstar CEO and very experienced and amazing senior executives especially on the Risk and Modeling side
- Empathetic senior leadership - they were very understanding about my personal circumstances
- Top notch infrastructure: the best, no expenses spared here
- Talented rank and file - people do amazing work here and they hire only the best
- Innovative and challenging work and lots of great products and projects to work on
- HR doesn’t advertise this too much, but the benefits are very good - no premiums on health insurance, tuition reimbursement and payments towards student loans etc.
- Free lunches; free rides on the PresidiGo, snacks...
- They are working very hard at building a culture and a company for the long term future
Cons
All the snacking makes you gain weight? Not sure if there are any cons I can think of at all. This shop is stellar.

Thank you for your review! We care deeply about our employees, which is exemplified by our benefits and culture. Our values are an integral part of the culture, and we are continuously engaging with them so we can build a world-renowned experience for our employees. We're glad you enjoyed your time at SoFi.
Paid Lunch, made good friends there, but they let the majority of the mortgage dept. go.
Cons
Leadership, management, everything is a mess to be honest. They bank on their name as a leader in fintech but really they don't know what they are doing, especially in the mortgage side.
We strive to make SoFi a great place to work for all employees, and we're glad you think so. Ops schedules do change from time to time to better serve our members' needs (#PutMembersFirst). If you have serious concerns about your schedule, please feel free to reach out to your manager. We want to help our employees succeed so we have the best team to support our members!
