Pros

Great benefits, meal card, free insurance, bonus opportunities, friendly coworkers

Cons

It took over a month to negotiate employment agreement. Recruiter rarely responded to emails and calls and when she did it was usually days later. Would not hear from recruiter for a week then followup questions recruiter had indicated she was not on top of game to begin with. Once an agreement was made and I accepted the position, waited several days before the recruiter send paperwork to start the background process. What is wrong with their recruiting and hr team? On another note, anytime I've had to deal with HR during my time here has been like dealing with a team of sloths.

We're so sorry that the process didn't move as quickly or as smoothly as it should have. Since it looks like you're a current employee, if you have specific feedback that can help the People Team optimize the process, we'd love to hear more about it so we can implement and continue to iterate.

Pros

Benefits, Compensation, Food Card. I enjoyed working with some of the agents (RMCs).

Cons

Don't. It sounds great-- Benefits, Compensation, Food Card... but you will hate your life if you work there! Upper management does NOT care about their people, and seek out reasons to fire people for nothing. They are the WORST. Training is a joke, no one knows anything and RMCs are left to hold the accountability. Quality team is against the RMCs and make ridiculous judgments! The decisions made for bonus, OT, Contests and Rewards are not made with "do the right thing" in mind. TOXIC CULTURE. Managers are told "unlimited PTO" but really- there is none. If you don't accrue it: they don't have to give you ANY. It is frowned upon if asked for it and working a ton of extra hours is expected. You will work all the Holidays, your days off- and no additional time is given in lieu.

I appreciate your taking the time to provide your feedback. This is not the culture we want at SoFi, and I recognize it’s important for us to hear different perspectives. Helping employees succeed in their positions is a core priority for us, as we want to take care of our people and help them grow their careers. It’s disappointing to hear your experience with the management team at SoFi wasn’t helpful. It’s unfortunate we weren’t able to discuss your concerns while you were still with us. However, I will discuss your feedback with the Ops leadership team and provide input to making further improvements. If you’d like to share more specifics about your experience, please feel free to email me directly at apearson@sofi.org. Thank you. – A. Pearson, HR Business Partner

Pros

Free lunch. For those that don't care - you can have as flexible of a work schedule as you want.

Cons

For those that do care, having an open vacation policy is a bad thing. You end up working all the time because a handful do all the work and the majority goof off. And there is no vacation balance that builds up so management actually sees who is working all the time. Another con is that the company is still acting like a start-up in terms of communication, but not understanding that we are too big for everyone to know what is going on. So, management needs to communicate more - which they don't. Stuff is broken all the time, and nobody seems to care.
