Pros

Free lunch and health care Unlimited PTO Presidio location

Cons

-This company values and puts so much importance on its members, but doesn’t give two hoots about their employees. They keep preaching this “career strategy” BS in their marketing but do absolutely nothing to help their employees with career growth. -There is no formal review process. They promote people whenever they feel like it. You'll definitely get a succulent when you hit your one year mark, but a raise is probably out of the question. -No work/life balance. -Absolutely no appreciation or recognition for your work or accomplishments, it’s just GO GO GO GO GO every single day. Morale is extremely low. -Don’t even have desks for new employees in SF. They are stuck having to run off and fend for themselves in little corners and nooks in the office. Welcome to SoFi, guys! It’s okay, they keep firing people and the turnover is so bad, that you can probably snag a seat soon. -They are extremely careless about sensitive documents. The entire executive leadership team’s salaries and quarterly bonuses were released accidentally through an email alias which dozens of employees received and everyone just “pretended” they didn’t see them.

Pros

This company really takes care of you. Benefits still 100% paid for by the company, student loan payments (up to a certain amount) paid for you, gym membership, lunch, dinner, fully stocked kitchen, to name a few perks. The pay for what I do is more than fair, and I feel supported by my management team.

Cons

Many changes, all the time! This is synonymous with a start-up, so it's expected. Work/life balance is tough, but we all have choice to be here, and for me, it's 100% worth it. No 401(k) match, but that is to be expected with all the other benefits mentioned above.

Pros

*Intelligent and driven coworkers *Many learning opportunities in many areas *Ability to make major impact on company performance *When things do finally click, work is very gratifying

Cons

*Definite growing pains compounded by very rapid growth *Much of the training is on-the-job and governed by individual ability to adapt quickly (Could also be a Pro)
