Micro Management

Pros

Nice building Good location Catered food Free benefits, some anyway

Cons

Micro management doesn't begin to describe it. Managers do nothing but walk up and down rows babysitting and watching you work. No room to breathe. Its worse than any other customer service job I've ever had. The other reviews make it sound like a modern and fun job, work hard and play hard. It is nothing like that. If it was before something changed. It is a sweatshop at its finest. They always talk about free benefits but they don't contribute to 401K. They don't pay benefits more than any other company. The schedule is horrible too. Changes every 3 months and always pressured to work overtime. No way you can go to school while working here. A company that is in the education business should allow their employees to go to school too. I don't know where the other reviews got their info. This place is nothing like that. I'm still here but looking to leave.

Pros

The people are smart and amazing. The culture is really vibrant, and everyone really believes in the company's mission statement of helping our members and making their lives better. It feels really great to work at a company that is actually helping people and doing good. The benefits are awesome.

Cons

Creative department needs to be more creative-driven and less about churning out work. Many projects are very improvisational and spontaneous, which doesn't account for sorely needed strategic planning. Still, the pros far outweigh the cons.

Great perks, awesome team, lots of opportunity

Pros

-Lots of opportunity to grow and learn. As with any startup, you get to wear many hats. Also, if you're interested in learning about a specific function, the company is awesome about allowing you to learn or make a transition to a different team. -Wonderful perks - free gourmet lunch, fully stocked kitchen, unlimited PTO, and student loan reimbursement of $200 monthly contribution (my personal fave). -Smart, collaborative, and diverse team, ranging in different industries from tech to finance -Fulfilling work where you can really make an impact (seriously! -- inspiring to hear all of our member stories)

Cons

As company headcount grows, alignment and communication across teams gets to be a bit of a challenge. Expectations can be high and priorities can shift - being adaptable and persistent is a definite must-have here.
