Pros

Pretty good pay for a Customer Service Position.

Cons

They don't really treat us like humans. We're just a number in their sweatshop. Super high expectations with stringent metrics to measure performance. Non-thinking, robot type people are really what they are looking for in employees. Virtually NO company culture.

Pros

SoFi has great benefits and competitive pay. They cater all meals and have opportunity for advancement. The CEO, Mike Cagney, is fantastic and very personable.

Cons

The work environment is not very good. They set unrealistic individual goals with little support to meet them. They are all about numbers and meeting them, but do not work with those who are not meeting goals to help them improve. It feels like they keep all of their agents on the edge of being fired every day and it makes the agents feel expendable. This leads to very low morale and affects productivity. There is no direct communication from upper management when processes change. They rarely work with you personal life or take anything into consideration when giving your shift. The attitude seems to be "If you don't like it, quit".

Pros

Great benefits - meals provided. Avoid Operations and you will be better off.

Cons

Sweatshop - regular mandatory OT and weekends. Hostile management style promoted by managers from head down to supervisors. Cliques encouraged to aid control by fear of retaliation. Very dysfunctional and unproductive. People are afraid to speak openly and honestly about solutions and problems that could be resolved. Work place is more like middle school revisited.
