Pros

* Most of the regular workers are amazing people. Very talented and smart. * Company has a great potential if managed properly. * The pay is still pretty good.

Cons

* Corruption in certain departments from top to bottom: retaliation, people forced out of work via falsified info in performance reviews and HR doesn't investigate the issue * Benefits are continuously slashed * Culture of blame is becoming more and more rampant * There is a list of great SoFi values, but they unfortunately seem to be only on paper when it comes to employees (although not in all departments). I would recommend to be vigilant when choosing to work for SoFi, especially in certain departments (ask around in social media and/or regular workers that work there, whom you can trust).

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to leave such a candid review of your experience working at SoFi. We see feedback as a gift that will help us to continue to iterate and learn, so thank you. Your comments are not at all indicative of the culture and work environment we are committed to fostering at SoFi. We take your comments very seriously, and we do not condone corruption or retaliation in any kind. Any concerns shared with HR are investigated fully and confidentially. We have an EthicsPoint hotline in which employees are able to lodge a formal complaint at any time. We can also confirm that no benefits have been slashed; in some areas we have expanded benefits and we continue to look for ways to meet the needs of our employees through our comprehensive benefit offerings. If you would like to continue this conversation, feel free to reach out to me at glassdoor@sofi.org. Take care.

Pros

Remote work, some of the people are nice.

Cons

Pay and benefits are cut without advance notice Constant payroll errors No one stays long enough to really know what they're doing Constantly in a state of emergency/chaos resulting in "extra projects temporarily" that never end When people leave they aren't replaced and their team just has to do extra work Wages lower than comparable companies, positions, and experience

First and foremost, thank you for the 6+ years you have dedicated to working at SoFi. Wow what a journey you've been on! So much change in the industry and at the company itself. Thanks for being on this ride with us. Your comments aren't indicative of the culture we are trying to sustain. I checked with our team, and there have not been pay nor benefits cuts within the team. As you may know, we have a semi-annual performance check-in program where bonus payouts are determined by individual performance. We are aware of the payroll issues and rest assured we are working through them. Our HR team meets bi-weekly with the Payroll team in order to manage any issues that come up and we are working to improve how we communicate issues to employees. With regards to your comments about temporary projects that never end, we'd love the opportunity to connect with you directly to further understand your concerns. Many of our teams have project work and we see this as a great opportunity for our employees to learn new skills, or hone their existing skills. If you're open to it, you can reach out to your PBP directly, or email me at glassdoor@sofi.org and I can help facilitate a conversation so we can address your concerns directly. Thank you again for the review, and we appreciate you! Take care.

Thank you for the time you dedicated to working at SoFi, and for sharing your thoughts with us. We're disappointed to hear working here didn't meet your expectations. We frequently review employee compensation to ensure it is fair and competitive based on external market data and individual performance. Plus, we know building a best-in-class culture starts with excellent leadership, so we are committed to giving our managers and people-leaders the tools, training, and support they need to help their teams thrive. Lastly, as you may remember, 'embrace diversity' is one of our core values, and we have a thoughtful and comprehensive strategy in place to improve representation across the company, and to ensure we are building an inclusive culture where everyone feels heard. Check out our public DE&I site on sofi.com to learn more. Again, sincerely appreciate your candid feedback, and wish you the best of luck in your next endeavor. Take care!
