Pros

Awesome SF headquarter located in the presidio area with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. Great benefits include free lunch, snacks, full health /dental care. There are opportunities for growth as the company is always changing, you get to learn about different products and implementations.

Cons

Poor communication between upper management to their employees. When information or process changes, there is no direct meeting face to face with the team or clarity nor explanation of why things have changed. Upper management would expect the team to read emails and the standard operations procedures manual which consist of too many changes to keep up. There is some trust between some managers but for the most part, trust is lacking and much is needed in building relationships between managers and their employees to keep morale and loyalty of their employees. No 401k matching, bonuses are not great as other start-up companies.

Pros

You get to work on top of the line hardware. If it is something that will help you in doing their job they will get it for you. They really take care of their employees and make you feel like they appreciate all that you do and want you to succeed. The benefits like catered lunch, stocked fridge full of drinks, fresh fruit and other snacks. Full benefits for the whole family paid for by the company. The talent of the Engineering team is incredible so there is always someone to learn from. The amazing community of the Montana office is very supportive and very team oriented. It isn't that competitive environment that you run into at most jobs everyone is there to make SoFi great.

Cons

Not necessarily cons but things that some people might not like: - The fast pace that the engineering team works at and how things change rapidly could be something that not everyone would enjoy. - The initial learning curve is high, but they do a good job equipping you with the skills you need to become successful. - The open work environment could be something that not everyone enjoys.

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits! Free food! Very casual environment and excellent co-workers. The company has a lot of great potential especially for those who want to get in with a late stage start up and grow with the business professionally.

Cons

A very young, late stage start up with all of the growing pains that go along with it. Changes often occur without notice and the left hand often doesn't know what the right hand is dojng.
