Pros

SOAR provides a great opportunity for educational growth and expansion in the world of behavioral therapy. The entry level aspect allows high school graduates and beyond to explore the world of ABA and EDSM while helping children and families grow. The formative years of development allow for strong foundational educational building blocks and being a pivotal part of children’s lives in this capacity allows for rewarding and fulfilling moments that make it more than just a job.

Cons

If you aren’t interested about the education or growing in this career, it can be challenging and taxing. It isn’t an “ends to a means” job.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that you appreciate the educational growth and expansion opportunities Soar offers, especially for those entering the world of ABA and EDSM. It’s wonderful to know that you find the work rewarding and fulfilling, and that you recognize the importance of the formative years in children’s development. We also appreciate your perspective on the demands of the role. It’s true that the work can be challenging, and we agree that it’s not a typical "ends to a means" job. We’re proud to have a team that is passionate about making a lasting impact, and we’re grateful for your dedication to both the kids and families we serve. Thank you for being part of the Soar team! We look forward to seeing your continued growth and success.

Pros

I've been working at Soar for about a year and a half, and overall, it’s been a really great experience! The company truly prioritizes child-led, play-based therapy, which makes sessions so much more engaging and meaningful—both for the kids and the staff. The training here is solid, and I’ve felt really supported in growing my skills, especially as I moved into an lead case supervisor role The team culture is one of the best parts of working here. Everyone is super collaborative, and leadership is approachable and open to feedback. Of course, working in this field comes with challenges, but Soar does a great job of fostering a supportive environment where you feel valued and encouraged to grow. If you're looking for a place that actually cares about both the kids and its employees, Soar is a great choice!

Cons

Like any job, there are a few challenges. The work can be physically and emotionally demanding at times, especially when supporting kids with higher needs. Schedules can get busy, and like in many ABA settings, flexibility is key. There have been some growing pains as the company expands, but leadership seems open to feedback and always looking for ways to improve. Overall, the positives far outweigh the challenges, and Soar does a great job of creating a supportive and rewarding work environment!
