Pros

Great progress for the kids here, and I enjoy the amount of clinicians on the floor.

Cons

I was supposed to be full time but was hardly scheduled for more than 30 hours each week. I sprained my ankle, the doctor said I could work but gave me a few restrictions, and then my COD did not let me come into work for a week (including the end of the year celebration). Also, one of my clients was always 20-30 minutes late in the morning and I wouldn’t get paid during that time. I would just be sitting there waiting, unpaid.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the work you did to support our clients. We’re glad to hear that you connected with Soar’s mission and saw meaningful progress with the kids you supported. We understand your concerns around scheduling consistency and how your work availability was handled after your injury. In situations involving medical restrictions, we sometimes make the decision to have a team member stay home temporarily in order to maintain the safest possible environment for our clients. That said, we recognize how important it is to communicate these decisions with care and clarity, and your feedback is helpful as we continue to improve that process. We also appreciate your note on pay expectations and time spent waiting for client arrivals. We are continuing to refine our scheduling systems to ensure fairness and predictability wherever possible. Thank you again for your contributions at Soar and for sharing your perspective. We wish you all the best in your future roles.
