Pros

Pay and benefits were competitive.

Cons

Terrible training unless it was specific to ESDM. They want to sell a model so they assess and onboard much older kids into service than the ESDM is appropriate for and you are discouraged for using certain behavior analytic tools appropriate for teaching school readiness.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate the contributions you made to our clients and team during your time at Soar. We understand your concerns regarding BCBA training and clinical flexibility. The Early Start Denver Model is central to our approach and is backed by strong research for working with young children. At the same time, we know that clinical judgment and broader behavior-analytic tools are important, especially as the needs of children vary. We also recognize that high-quality training across operational areas, including documentation and case management, is essential for BCBAs to feel confident and effective in their roles. Your feedback is helpful as we continue to invest in clearer training structures, stronger supervisory support, and more responsive tools for clinicians. We will share this with our clinical and training teams to inform our ongoing improvement efforts. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

Pros

great on the floor team + good communication among rbts, very supportive environment as a technician. thats about it though. easy to burn out and schedules can be very inflexible. care teams are made without knowledge of clients and who they work best with. the kids can be so sweet! theyre worth it.

Cons

hostile supervisors, lots of hoops to jump through for advancement (pay and position), sick time is often hard to excuse (with doctors notes), trial data is tracked and can count against you even when out of your control

Thank you for sharing your experience, and for the work you did to support our clients during your time at Soar. We’re glad to hear that you felt a strong sense of connection and support among your fellow RBTs. That team-based spirit is something we value deeply, and we know it makes a meaningful difference in such important and emotionally complex work. We also want to acknowledge the challenges you raised around scheduling flexibility, advancement, and alignment between care teams and client needs. We are continuing to strengthen our systems to better support our employees, including how we build care teams and how we structure growth and promotion pathways. Your feedback helps highlight areas where we need to improve clarity and consistency. We are truly grateful for your commitment to the children and families we serve, and we will continue working to ensure that our teams feel supported and set up for success.

Pros

The kids are terrific! Supportive RBT's who put they're best foot forward each day (most of the time).

Cons

The company provides inadequate training on the ESDM, it often doesn't feel like actual ABA is provided. The culture is toxic, leadership blames this on the clinicians and RBT's but in reality is from lack of support and negative comments from leadership. Impossible workload and expectations given to clinicians and RBT's alike. Poor compensation. Questionable ethical decisions from leadership.
