Pros

Very energetic young organization Majority of staff is under 40; highly motivated Good benefits program: 401(k); paid time off; maternity/paternity/domestic partner leave; tuition reimbursement

Cons

staff works long hours due to amount of work and their sense of duty to do the utmost to please clients Senior management has yet to achieve the balance needed to create the optimal work-life balance for staff; they are working on it, but graduating from a small to medium sized business has created some stumbling blocks along the way

Pros

The people at SI were excellent to work with. The company itself had a small business feel despite rapid growth. For example, there was an unofficial open door policy that included the CEO and senior management. It was also relatively easy to switch departments or try new project types.

Cons

Work-life balance was poor and staff went to extremes to meet deadlines. Most employees were issued laptops and continued working at night or over weekends.
