Pros

Good pay, time off, some people and leaders are absolutely amazing. Support their employees and provide good leadership mentoring.

Cons

If you haven't worked at SSA for 10+ years and were not in the field first, many people discount your expertise. New administration took many benefits away including telework, despite teams being located around the country so days in office are spent on virtual calls and meetings. New administration also encouraged and threatened employees to leave, so those remaining have a lot of stress and workloads of multiple people.
