      Pros

      It is a federal job, so the benefits are nice. And after the 1 or 2 year probationary period, you can transfer to a better place.

      Cons

      Everything! From the antiquated technology to the illogical rules, it's one of the worst places I've ever worked.

      Pros

      Job security, great benefits, lots of paid time off and advancement opportunities are some of the reasons people who work hard stay for so long.

      Cons

      You are surrounded by people who do a horrible to mediocre job, but nothing usually happens to them because any kind of reprimand involves months of documentation. Following policy and procedures are almost a waste of time because the person who follows your inputs could potentially erase everything you have done.
