Pros

Softchoice has a casual atmosphere, friendly co-workers (not management), decent benefits package, beer cart once a month, but not much else to really look forward to.

Cons

Management at Softchoice is generally atrocious. It truly is a frat club. You need to be able to 'pow-wow' with the men in management and waste time in meetings trying to understand their lewd sense of humour. Work-life balance is non-existent, unless you're a manager or willing to never break for lunch and stay in everyday. Recognition and pay is a joke for most employees. One more thing, if you're a woman, you can pretty much forget about ever advancing at Softchoice.

Pros

Health and dental benefits WFH depending on your role

Cons

Unscrupulous leadership Toxic work environment Poor work-life balance Questionable violation of employment laws/rights. The 1.0 star reviews of the company here are pretty spot on if you sort the reviews by the lowest rating. I am glad for these reviews exposing the company and that I was not the only person who had such a negative experience as I worked under some really terrible managers and was subjected to a constructive dismissal. C-Suite Execs are very well aware of what is happening and have their own agenda going on as they were clearly turning a blind eye. Complaints were being made yet the the injustice and dare I say discriminatory treatment continued to persist. These are the type of people who will smile to your face but have ulterior motives. To keep it short and simple, be well aware of your employment laws and rights as HR ultimately serves to protect the company.
