Pros

Company supports each other and if you are disciplined enough you can manage to figure out and build relationships internally with many people around the company that will help you understand more around the vendors and technologies that are being resold at Softchoice. You will learn so much around technology you essentially get a degree in IT here and there are still people willing to go out of their way to help you.

Cons

The companies base is really low. They tend to add 30% growth on top of the performance you did the year before which makes some sense, but if many of the business you did is not repeatable like capital expenditures, just assume you have to work twice as hard the next year make as much money since all the new business you drive will go into just hitting plan. You need to make a lot of relationships with Vendors who won't exactly pay you out on renewal time either since their strategy is always for new logos which goes against you even harder in the next year once that is in your plan. Services isn't exactly Softchoice's best practice, yet they push that onto your plan and keep you from promotions if you don't hit it. They don't have the best pricing and in sales you have no control over that portion of your plan or who's supporting the deals so it's really luck or your customer doesn't price shop if you win services deals, since I've tended to loose 13/13 of my services deals proposed here, so at that point I would truly put the blame on Softchoice for lack of training and support to enable their reps to be successful in that category.
