Pros

They paid me for some of the work I produced.

Cons

I've had several concerning experiences at Softworld, including unprofessional and toxic behavior from upper management who often discussed personal information regarding our other colleagues including their DUIs, their personal relationships, in office sex scandals, "drinking problems", rehab visits, and much more, They even went so far as to directly send me videos (which I still have) of Softworld employees drinking at bars late at night on a week day in hopes to persuade me to visit the office all of which is highly inappropriate. The work environment is toxic, with management actively trying to drive out top recruiters to take their commissions. They've admitted the company is not performing well and use misleading tactics to inflate their numbers. These practices include re-entering old deals as new, doubling requisitions, and manipulating recruiter perceptions to present a false image of success. To my personal friends at Motion Recruitment, I will be reaching out to further bring to light what it was like working at Softworld under this person in upper management.

Softworld does not condone the behaviors that you described and takes them seriously. Please message me separately so that we can have a member of the ER department reach out to you to gather additional details to facilitate an investigation.

Pros

I was approached by Softworld to support a DoD/Intel customer; Softworld is a subcontractor on this contract. From the first call from the recruiter to dealing with Account Manager/PM, and the Director, I've had a 1st class experience. They are completely transparent with updates, feedback, etc, and address all concerns in a timely matter. I also received a healthy pay increase to join this contract. So, in summary, they pay well, they run a great office in the DC area, know their customers and contracts extremely well, and seem to always be available to speak with and address concerns. Highly recommend.

Cons

Benefits are expensive for a family. They seem to make it up with higher pay though. They do not offer much paid training (certifications, etc), but do offer to reimburse from time to time.

Pros

I was placed in an environment with wonderful people, none of them affiliated with Softworld. Acquired many professional contacts and gained some really good skills.

Cons

Was completely misled and lied to about the specifics of the contract and the benefits associated with it. I received poor compensation and zero pto / vacation time. Softworld claims to have grown 100% this past year but neglects to even provide a single hour of paid time off to the people making money for them. What's worse is the misinformed recruiters feeding potential candidates blatant lies. This type of unethical behavior is lawsuit worthy. Softworld is the type of company you hear about on the news that won't provide hard working people paid sick time or time off to take care of sick kids. Softworld claims to follow family values and take care of employees...my experience was the complete opposite. I will never, ever work for a company like Softworld again. They provide zero incentive to work for them and do absolutely nothing to treat their clients like family. Softworld should be ashamed to even use the word "family" to describe their business.

I am so sorry to hear that your experience with Softworld did not meet your expectations. The Government Sector represents a significant piece of our business, and our Recruiting team receives extensive training on the ins and outs of government contract assignments. We have several employment options with varying Vacation/PTO policies depending on our consultant’s needs. Softworld is built on transparency with our consulting team and I apologize if we fell short of that goal. Our recruiters are ethical and are taught to be 100% honest and straight forward with our consultant base because we value each and every one of you. I would like to learn from your experience with us, and encourage you to call me directly. I’d be happy to speak with you. Kindest regards, Alaina Manning Director of Consultant Care 781-373-8411
