Pretty good, especially for recent college graduates

Great starting job. I like everyone I work with. You will likely get a lot more experience quickly working as a consultant than working full time somewhere else. You can get great experience if you get put on the right client.

Cons

The corporate office changes the business structure/rules/bonus structure significantly EVERY year. The budget for "non essential" items seems to be decreasing which makes me think management does the bare minimum to keep its employees content Many employees stay for YEARS at the same client site which I think kind of defeats the purpose of consulting. Sometimes I think it is more like "long term" staffing

1. 401K: Best I've heard of in the industry. 2. Learning resources: Capgemini has a huge library and system of books, tools, and documents for expanding skills.

Cons

1. Low base salary: Compared to rest of the industry, Sogeti tends to under pay consultants. 2. Ineffective C-level management: Dayton management seems largely out-of-touch with consultants. Frequently communicates policies poorly or provides no communication at all. Frequently makes policy changes that seems arbitrary and beneficial to the company (ties back to poor communication). 3. Bonus program: Changes every year and often seems to be more of a "who-you-know" and not "what-you-do" system. 4. Staff Augmentation: The Sogeti sales model claims everything is delivered in projects and teams, yet, I've seen many people end up in staff augmentation situations.
