Pros

The biggest pro is once you reach 90 days you receive a company vehicle, gas card and maintenance card. The company provides you all the tools you need to do your job which is great.

Cons

Horrible lower to mid level management. You are just a number to this company now. Turn over is way too high. No time off (expectation is to work 6 days per week and 10-12 hours per day. No managerial support (mine is an outright liar) the pay is not good enough for the amount of work they expect. You can make a lot more money at other companies. HR does nothing to assist employees when they are needed. Solar prices are amongst the highest and they install on the least amount of roof tops.

Pros

Company car is the main pro besides some great people. Benefits are supposed to be great but not affordable if you have a family.

Cons

The base Salary is terrible especially if you are living in California. Why is it that people living in the middle of nowhere where they can rent an entire home for 800$ get paid the same as people living in a place that it costs 1500$ for a studio if you are lucky. rate structure, hours, attrition rate are also bad

Pros

I met great people working there. I gained valuable project management, time management, and sales skills including objection handling.

Cons

The turnover rate seems to be high, and for obvious reasons. To be successful, you really do need to work more often than youre not working. There was little help from management when I was put on a performance plan. Unless you really have a knack for sales and can handle repeated rejection at time, I would not recommend working here. Other relevant info: The benefits are very expensive ($2700 deductible for a single person) No tuition reimbursement No quota relief for taking vacation No 401k company match Way too many factors that can get in the way after you close a sale that are out of your control that gets the job cancelled (roof disqualified, customer disappears/stops answering phone calls, someone doing paperwork drops the ball and customer cancels) I personally struggled with selling the benefits of the company when other companies offer very similar benefits and can save the customer way more money than SolarCity
