Pros

There used to be pros working there. The idea of helping people with cheaper electricity is a great thing. That's it.

Cons

Horrible career path. 401k but NO match of any kind. They talk of stock options but it's extremely small and a joke. Especially when SC stock is getting destroyed. Best place to work in Sac was won because they force you to say nothing but positive reviews. The new hire pay is a joke. The recent morale in the building is absolutely awful. It used to be a fu place to work. Leads are awful. Just awful. Didn't used to be. Expect to make $40-$50k max, if you're lucky. DO NOT LEAVE A CAREER JOB FOR THE BS KOOAIDE HYPE. If you have no job then so be it. The micro management is horrendous. Again, didn't used to be. They have fired on average 30 people a month over the last 4 months. I worked there for 2 years. Was good for 1 year then it went to crap. Wall Street destroyed SC because they do not make money. I could go on and on but I won't. If you decide to work there, only take the field rep job where you go the the customers home. Great product, warranty, service but they could care less about YOU. It's bad people. I just hope they figure it out soon. The people are great and they all want the same thing but it's not happening and it won't. The next earnings report is about to come out. Expect a huge layoff after that. They've already kinda being doing it but firing people instead because that's a lot cheaper than laying severance pay. Again, if you have a long good career with an Ok company... Don't by the false hype and stay where you are out look elsewhere. 401k a joke. Stock options - joke. No pension.

Pros

They are helping to spread solar throughout the country

Cons

If you are a professional salesperson, run far and fast from this company. If it takes 15 days for a customer to sign an agreement, they will give you commission to someone else. According to management, odds say you should get some of these free deals but it never happens. Out of control mostly young while males, kind the system and make sure their cohorts get deals. This is a mill. They want you to sell deals and leave before they have to pay for it which will happen if the 80% of my training class gone after 3 months proves anything. If you are a 24 year old male with no experience or expectation of professionalism and want to eat cereal and listen to blasting music all day, this is the job for you. Anyone else, keep your current job.

Pros

Super energetic company, strong leadership, strong sense of community among employees even when not seeing wax mother daily.

Cons

On your feet all day and your sales matter highly. If you don't get a minimum number of appointments booked and contracts signed (which is not in your control) you will be fired. It doesn't matter your area, highish sales are asked.
