Pros

A very well managed company with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow if you are a very hard working, workaholic type person and can maintain a positive, can do attitude regardless of whatever curveballs are thrown your way. The company's commitment to safety is first class and appreciated by all.

Cons

The drive for perfection and improvement is relentless. Results that earn you a bonus and an excellent review one year could be deemed inadequate and get your fired next year. Complacency is not tolerated. Nothing is really ever good enough. This is understandable in a highly competitive business. But it stresses employees to the max and makes it hard to maintain morale. Expect to work long hours and forget about being able to take any time off and don't get sick. The term "work life balance" is openly mocked by management. You are expected to make the company your first priority and any family obligations a distant second.

Pros

1. Effective teamwork across all departments 2. Friendly/active colleagues 3. Innovative company - it was exciting to work for a company as it transitioned from start-up to IPO 4. Fun holiday/anniversary parties 5. Great learning experience

Cons

1.. Poor/Ineffective Management - directors/managers don't work with their employees to set them up for success; little to no performance feedback is provided outside of the annual review 2. Low Salaries - compensation does not match the expectations for most roles and pay increases are very rare. 3. High turnover rate - the company is quick to let employees go, rather than provide coaching 4. Lack of Communication & Follow Through - in regards to bonuses, promotions, pay increases, and training opportunites, I developed an "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude.

Pros

I am passionate about our mission and feel I am doing good every day,

Cons

This is an operations company, not a professional sales organization. I have been a part of Fortune 100 sales organizations, and this felt like I was a Cutco salesperson with a meager base salary. They offered me their Field Energy Consultant position after our entire division was eliminated and we were given a deadline to accept the positions offered or a severance. Once I agreed and the deadline passed, they drastically lowered my commission structure and base salary to a non-livable amount without ANY kind of notice or explanation. I literally just noticed the amount was lower in my bank account. Commissions for a LOT of work run around $240-604. Seriously?! The opportunity to be successful just does not seem to be there. There are a few exceptions that they tout, but even very smart and capable sales professionals are having difficulty succeeding. I have never gotten the sense that they do not care about individuals. Training was incredibly intense and I easily worked 70+ hours for required work outside of class and was only paid for 40. They also never reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for training, required travel, etc.
