Extremely stable profitability. Extremely wide product portfolio. Good name recognition within the IT software space.

Cons

Innovation is thought of as high risk. Despite being a US software company, Solarwinds is highly averse to writing software in the US, favoring its much larger eastern European offices. Cloud and SaaS products are not well understood.
