      Pros

      I work with a great bunch of people, who like to work hard but have fun too. We get two free lunches a week and free fruit, juice and car parking, which is something that I've never experienced in any other workplace. We have a lovely office with pool table and football table in the kitchen area.

      Cons

      Since being acquired certain departments don't seem to know what they are doing. There are too many managers in SolarWinds and no-one can make a decision, at least not quickly. Things that we used to get on and do are held up for weeks at a time for no specific reason, other than the Head of HR seems to want to have a decision on every trivial little matter.

      Pros

      Fruit in the kitchen. Friendly colleagues. Above average salary.

      Cons

      Technical managers, that don't understand anything technical. Micromanagement and too much bureaucracy. Very limited library, no education whatsoever. Non existent newbie training when you join the company. Not agile although claming so. Teambuildings occur only twice a year. Very noisy work environment. Poor benefits. No place to take your call at if you don't want anyone to hear it. Intrusion from management into private lives of employees. Boring work on boring products, that could be done way sooner.

      Pros

      - Not too much bureaucracy comparing to average corporation makes daily work much easier and less stressful - Friendly colleagues, - Salaries and benefits on par with market average - Close cooperation between divisions makes problem solving better - Fast and very well organized interviewing process - There are some brilliant minds to work with, and people with great technical knowledge willing to share their knowledge with others, creating culture where everybody learns continuously

      Cons

      - It's a corporation, with all it's downsides, including dirty office politics - The company has a conservative culture, esp. some (not all) of the middle managers can be too comfortable in their roles, afraid of changes and innovative ideas. The company's policy is to stick to what has been already tested by other companies, and try to do it better, but they're not developing any groundbreaking solutions themselves. - Very sharp distinction between IT staff and others, that is visible in the way non-IT people are treated, including salaries. - Pressure to deliver without proper tools and resources to make it happen
