The upper management is completely out of touch with the field employees. They haven’t a clue as to the lengthy sales cycle that our types of deals entail. If they see no increase in sales after a couple months, they shake things up and get rid of people that were being great leaders for their business without giving them the time for the changes to show the benefits. It takes time people! Upper management promotes a crap-rolling-downhill-blame-game and places failures onto the next person who passes it on to the next person below them in chain of command. Usually area manager level is the poor smuck that ends up being blamed for something that they had nothing to do with and damage was already done prior to their time. But managers above them do not care. As long as they are not blamed. And upper management does not care, because all they do is constantly beat on those below them for growth, but they provide no support or help, or TIME to do so. They will not accept blame for doing nothing to help. They hire “yes”-men to do their dirty work and promote a very hostile work environment. The other sections of our company don’t do their jobs and it affects the people in the field negatively. But because our upper management does not care, and most of these people are in the same office with them and chummy, they never receive backlash or criticism. Even the field will be blamed for where the office workers in Wilmington are lacking. It is one big blame game with upper management being the biggest culprit. Sad sad sad. When will you people see that you are creating a negative atmosphere and not allowing people to use their talents? When will you recognize amazing efforts from good leaders and allow them the right time for results?
