Pros

Product Development staff is friendly for the most part. Flexible and casual work environment, ping pong table, and free snacks are nice.

Cons

Not impossible, but very difficult to get any raise (The CEO seems to have it figured out though). Management has even indicated there is no pool of money for raises. No bonus for software staff below management. Unpredictable work hours at times. Frequent night/weekend work is uncompensated/under-appreciated. Health benefit cost went up substantially in 2016 (Family medical premiums increased over 150% from the year prior for the same coverage), resulting in a large cut to your total compensation. Time to look elsewhere. Seems like a lot of people have the same idea unfortunately.

Good Company, Too Much Turmoil

Pros

Visionary, highly motivated company. Their parent company (Solera) forces a customized set of business structure and guidelines that really can help if you embrace them, but can feel overwhelming at first. The offices are in a great location, are very high end and there is walking trails, parks and a lot of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Gym membership at Lifetime Fitness (best gym in Utah) is included for every employee, and it also a few hundred yards away. The General Manager is highly intelligent, sees right through many obstacles and it truly a leader. However, he isn't very personable and not easy to get along with.

Cons

Acquisitions: They are constantly looking to acquire companies that build their product portfolio. While this can be a good thing, they don't plan the integration well enough, especially from a technology perspective. Solera was just acquired by Vista Equity, which has a back track record for cutting head count. Solera (and AutoPoint) tend to run very lean, piling multiple responsibilities on each person. Upper management is determined by relationships with the GM, resulting in some people that are in positions that are too much for them. Some of their C level management are trying to do too many job roles, so they are slow in making decisions. Some promises weren't kept with the bonus' in 2015, resulting in a shortage of about 40% of what was promised. Solera changed the rules on the bonuses after the fiscal year was completed. Upper management is very slow to act, causing serious doubts in their leadership ability and resulting in losing top talent. Compensation isn't in alignment with job demand, resulting in losing more talented people and very high turn over. No policy for merit increases, the only raises seem to happen if you get a promotion or threaten to quit.

Pros

Ability to telecommute, great salary. Automatic part search system is a great feature. You can make your own hours as long as you meet goal (good luck).

Cons

Virtual environment you must use affects performance greatly in a negative way. Management is subpar and knows very little about Subrogation. What this company does not realize is that you can chip a company's estimate all you want, however it only costs $40 to file arbitration in which your audit is disregarded because you have no idea of the condition or the actual availability of a part. You also did not inspect the vehicle so you cannot say what is and what isn't a good operation to repair a vehicle. Arbitrators spit on these reviews because they are incompetent. Expectations for settling files is unrealistic unless you stress yourself out to obtain goals. Was constantly coached by management to reach 35 completed (you must call and reach agreement or the carrier must say they do not agree, you get no credit for the actual review of the file), however was given less than 25 files per day. I finally was given a better allotment and reach the goal now. What else is negative is that I tend to start my day at 7:30. I review my files the night before so I can make calls. I wake up with no new files, and randomly get a ton 30 minutes before I want to be off and can't leave because I haven't met goal and have been asking management to send me files, they tell me they don't have any and hope some come in, then they come in right before you leave. So your 8 hour day turns into a 12 hour day. You are supposed to fulfill this. All management seems to be very accusative and treats you like a criminal if an error occurs on a file. You are expected to chip as much as possible on an estimate, even if it doesn't make sense (carrier says a part they used was not in good condition ON THEIR ESTIMATE, so they use an OEM), but they want you to use that part and hope they don't catch it. They also want you to switch their alternate parts already used with cheaper ones (really!?). Then YOU have to call a carrier, get yelled at because all you do is chip and chip, then are expected to have 60% agreed at and an average of 10% removed from each file. When I began I was informed a large layoff occurred, so job security seems very unrealistic which is why I chose to accept a different position with a large company (including the aformentioned cons). I honestly have never written a review for a company I have worked for, however this one you should stay away from. You get 10 days of PTO and this INCLUDES sick time. The salary is enticing, but when it boils down the the lack of PTO and the effect on your conscience, take a position with an acceptable salary and better work/life balance. The money isn't worth it. You are underpaid for your time.
